The 2014 Wedding Trends are here!
As the summer wedding season winds down and bridal designers release their new Spring and Summer lines for next year, we begin to look forward to the 2014 Wedding Trends. As we begin to ramp up for another busy wedding season next year, we are seeing a few trends with our couples that have their weddings in 2014. We are so excited to be planning and designing for these newly engaged couples as we anticipate a year of vintage glamour, bright colors, creative details, and opulent reception decor.
Let’s take a look at some of the newest 2014 wedding trends.
Beaded Wedding Gowns
Bridal runway shows kicked off their Spring 2014 season and each show brought beautiful gowns in shades of whites and creams, soft pinks, baby blues, and even black floated down the catwalks. The Roaring Twenties glam style and theme was strong in 2013 and designers are continuing this trend in 2014. Designers Reem Acra, Maggie Sottero, Carolina Herrera, Theia, and Kenneth Pool, to name a few, features gorgeous dress designs with allover beading. The look is sophisticated yet flirty and just perfect for a cocktail style wedding with a champagne tower and coupe glasses.
Vintage Wedding Decor & Design
The vintage wedding trends is still going strong! It’s no surprise – there’s just something that feels so romantic about adding old-world items and antiques to your big day. Many couples are including family heirlooms within their decor, giving a personal touch to their vintage wedding. Love and romance is timeless and remembering the loved ones that have passed have taken a special place at weddings. Couples are not only adding family heirlooms but also photos of loved ones that have passed into details throughout the reception.
A Thousand and One Themes
2014 is also going to explode with themes. Life these days is infinitely personalizable, and making every element of your wedding your own is becoming easier and more accessible. From couture invitations, to monograms, to creative use of photographs and video – everything can be professionally personalized to be based around the bride and groom’s passions.
Bringing the WOW in Opulent Decor
A few years ago we saw brides cut back on décor during the recession in favor of DIY and simplicity, but not anymore. We’re seeing luscious centerpieces, amazing lighting, gorgeous linens and custom furniture.
