Portrait Back

For many years, brides have envisioned themselves in a strapless sweetheart neckline wedding dress. For 2013, designers such as Kitty Chen, Justin Alexander, and Amsale have looked for inspiration to the wedding gowns of the 1920′s. The new designs come in different styles such as halter, straps, high necklines and extraordinary backs.

If  a bride decides to pick one of these new designs for her big day she will be giving her guests something else to stare at while she and her beloved are standing up at the altar. With the popularity of lace continuing in many of the designs it makes the portrait back dress all the rage this season.  This is an exceptionally elegant way to not only find that unique and special dress, but also to create a romantic and classic image.

There are definitely opportunities for a bride to be original with her wedding gown.  Aside from tapping into lace, she can also add her own flare with Swarovski crystals, delicate beading, french lace and even tulle.

If you want to go with this style, make sure you know what you’re getting into.  There’s definitely no room for error or a bra strap. Also, if you imagined yourself with your hair flowing freely on your wedding, that’s not going to be possible since you won’t want to cover up these creations.

Although this is the trend of 2013 many designers are still incorporating into their lines the strapless sweetheart neckline, so brides should not worry their dream of wearing that style dress will still be possible this season.
